To many, Milos is the most exotic island in the Aegean Sea because of its extraordinary colours and landscape and it is, without doubt, one of the most impressive in the Cyclades. Volcanic rocks paint the beaches red, pink and orange.
The highlights of Milos seem endless: Sarakiniko and Kleftiko, with their white rock formations, emerald green waters and caves eroded by the sea, are steeped in stories of pirates. But they are rivalled by early Christian catacombs, an array of beaches and the multicoloured settlements of Klima, Emborios and Mandrakia, with their quaint buildings cut into the cliffs and Plaka’s sunsets.
With this one day tour in Milos departing from Chania , we will have the opportunity to admire this captivating island and create eternal memories.

Plaka Village is the capital town of Milos. It is located north of the Gulf of Milos and covers the sides of a hill, bordering the villages of Plakes, Triovasalos, Pera Triovasalos and Tripiti.
Plaka is one of the most picturesque places to visit on the island, with traditional Cycladic architecture. Its narrow alleys are full of whitewashed houses with brightly painted windows and balconies that are decorated with bougainvillea flowers.
It is divided into the Old Town (Venetian Castle) and the New Town. You will discover restaurants, cafes, bars and shops, as well as charming churches and a few museums across them.
From Plaka, one can enjoy a magnificent view of the Gulf of Milos and, with a location like that, it comes as no surprise that the town has become famous for its sunset views.
Located just five kilometers away from the scenic town of Plaka, Sarakiniko Beach in Milos is the most well-known shore on the island, boasting a rarely-sighted geological profile that strikes a chord in every visitor!
Towards the northern part of Milos, a 10-minute drive from Adamas port, Sarakiniko is a stunning sight to behold, frequently used for photography sessions!
The beach has a lunar landscape that makes it vastly different from every other shore in Greece, featuring awe-inspiring, smooth white rocks with plenty of horizontal layering.
Its formation is highly unique, boasting numerous caves that anyone can explore with the help of a flashlight! The beach was mostly formed as such due to fossil layering and some volcanic eruptions, while it is said to have been named after the Saracen pirates that used the caves as a shelter.
Pollonia is a picturesque fishing village on the northeast tip of Milos Island, Cyclades, Greece. A quiet tourist resort, Pollonia features all the amenities you’d expect to find in a typical Greek island and more, such as sandy, tamarisk tree-lined, protected beaches, traditional tavernas by the waterfront, fishing boats moored by the quay, quaint, white & blue rooms for rent, bougainvillea-adorned houses, white-washed churches, beautiful views of the Aegean sea, romantic sunsets, and more.
